“Rihaai” a solo show by Saima Jamil narrates, it is from birth to death, every soul born lives a life, which is directed by the society in which they live, and also by the demons of one’s own self. We build and rebuild in our minds our ideal life, in which we live as a free bird, without bearing any burden imposed on us by the world. But do we really live like that? In this series of my work, “Rihaai” or “freedom” I have painted on canvas, the struggle we face to reach that point of being completely free of any ties and become one with our self. When we do exactly what we say, without any need to modify our actions to fit into a particular mindset, be it our own or of the people around us.
